Abstract
Due to the worldwide transmission of Covid-19, the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic on March 11, 2020.
The first case of COVID-19 in Paraguay was diagnosed on March 7, 2020 in a person who had returned from Ecuador. On March 10, a partial quarantine was declared that included measures such as suspension of classes, social activities that generate agglomeration, limitation in night circulation, on March 20, the first case of community circulation was confirmed and total quarantine was declared through a presidential decree.
Parallel to the preparation for hospital care, mass dissemination campaigns were promoted from all platforms on the prevention and reduction of the risk of contagion in the population. With so much access to information on prevention, how have we failed so that practically 1 year after the pandemic we have not been able to control the spread and decrease in the number of infections?
