Abstract
Aneurysmal malformation of the Galen vein is defined as a non-hereditary congenital arteriovenous shunt, originating during embryogenesis between weeks6 and 11; it is characterized by the presence of dilated arteries in the midline. Endovascular treatment has proven to be a safe and highly effective option for a congenital pathology that until a few decades ago caused high rates of childhood morbidity and mortality (MS VGM).
