Persistent identifier policy
Constantly updated
Revista del Nacional (Itauguá) provides a digital identifier (DOI) for each piece of published content (since 2020;12(2)), editorial, original articles, clinical cases, review articles, medical images, and letters to the editor. This is done via Crossref, using the unique and persistent identifier for researchers ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) to link the work to its authorship. This is mandatory for all those involved in the authorship and must be included in the metadata of the submission. ORCID ID is a persistent identifier that distinguishes each author and facilitates the recognition of their contributions, reducing the possibility of error or confusion with other authors.
This identifier is managed by the authors themselves through the ORCID website, a global non-profit organization that promotes the transparent exchange of information.
Revista del Nacional (Itauguá) requests, for the unambiguous identification of institutions, the Research Organization Registry (ROR) identifier for institutional affiliations. The link between work, authorship, and institutional affiliation facilitates retrieval in databases and provides greater visibility to research work and institutions. For example, the ROR identifier for the Centro Médico Nacional-HospitalNacional, Paraguay, is https://ror.org/03rggar28.
